LDN for Fybromyalgia

Low Dose Naltrexone and Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a long-term condition characterised by widespread pain and can also involve:

  • fatigue
  • sleep disturbance
  • muscle stiffness
  • headaches

Plus difficulty concentrating or remembering — sometimes called “fibro fog”

There is no single treatment that works for everyone.

Treatment can include exercise and physical activity programmes, talking therapies and medication to help manage symptoms.

What about LDN?

Low Dose Naltrexone has attracted particular research interest in fibromyalgia.
Some small trials have reported reductions in pain, and systematic reviews have examined the available evidence.

However, studies have generally been relatively small and the evidence isn’t yet strong enough to describe LDN as a proven treatment for fibromyalgia.

For that reason, RemiVida presents LDN as an off-label treatment option for clinical consideration, not a cure for fibromyalgia.
