Testogel is a licensed testosterone replacement therapy for adult men with confirmed testosterone deficiency. It is prescribed only after blood testing, clinical assessment and approval by a clinician.
This option may be suitable for men who prefer a licensed branded treatment rather than a bespoke compounded cream.
Many women are prescribed Testogel® and instructed to use a lower dosage. This can be problematical and women are better suited to Remivida’s bespoke testosterone service with a metered dose of cream set to your own requirements or the standard, licenced Androfeme® cream also available through RemiVida.

How long does a Testogel® pump last?
How long your Testogel® lasts depends on the number of pumps prescribed each day.
The usual starting dose is often 2 pumps daily, equal to 40.5 mg testosterone per day, adjusted by the clinician according to testosterone levels and clinical response.
The licensed dose range is from 1 pump daily to 4 pumps daily.

How Testogel® works
Testogel® is applied to the skin. Testosterone is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream.
The aim is to restore testosterone levels to an appropriate physiological range in men with confirmed testosterone deficiency.
Your clinician will use your symptoms, blood results and safety markers to decide whether treatment is suitable, what dose should be prescribed, and whether the dose needs adjusting over time.
Why blood testing is required
Testosterone treatment should only be used when clinically appropriate. Symptoms alone are not enough.
Follow-up blood testing may also be required after starting treatment or changing dose. This helps check whether testosterone levels are responding appropriately and whether treatment remains safe.
